NOT A ROCK-DOC

This special Depot screening of Not A Rock-Doc included a fascinating and entertaining Q&A with director Stephen ‘Snips’ Parsons. The film – fast moving and dynamic just like the band’s iconic shark car – explores the band’s journey from the highs of their resurgence to the utter depths of their struggle to survive in the digital age. Back in 1972, Sharks quickly soared to new heights in the rock world, got a record deal from the coolest label and superstar management. But a devastating crash and drug problems saw them sink beneath the waves. Now, they reunite, embarking on a 21st-century odyssey filled with pain, dark humour, and unexpected acts of heroism.
PASSING OF A PUNK ICON
3rd April 2022 – Sad News about the passing of Jordan Mooney (Pamela Rooke)
Steve Parsons, a Creative Director of the Lewes Ripple, offers small tribute to a great life: This hurts a lot. Only a few days ago I was watching footage of a Sharks gig at the Con Club from 2017 where Seaford legend Jordan was in full flow on the dance floor. She was a great booster for the Sharks reunion and we asked her to interview Chris Spedding at the Westgate Chapel in Lewes for inclusion in the forthcoming Sharks documentary feature. She was warm, funny, intelligent and relaxed on camera (Spedding is not an easy interview). Not only that she refused to take her agreed fee because she had so much fun.
Jordan Mooney (Pamela Rooke) 23 June 1955 – 3 April 2022. She will be missed.
