For anyone who doesn’t know, Starfish has grown from very humble beginnings in 1998, with just a few young musicians and a couple of amps, into a major contributor to the Lewes music scene, putting on popular public music events for all ages.
Starfish Youth Music aims to help young people find their own musical voice, and give them confidence in their own creativity. Its young musicians are encouraged to explore writing songs and jamming, communicating ideas, sharing skills, and making decisions for themselves.
As an independent club, Starfish Lewes relies on members’ fees, donations and fundraising events to finance the running of the project.
