A Ripple Poetry Reading introduced by Steve Parsons of The Ripple project
Jim Morrison of The Doors was a wonderful singer and a dynamic stage performer, but his literary output is less well known. Five unique local voices read the entire text of his 1969 work THE LORDS AND THE NEW CREATURES from the lectern in the Westgate Chapel. Ambient music was programmed by the cream of Lewes’s underground music scene to underscore the reading.
Voice artists were Peter Owen-Jones, Debby Mathews, Charles Hennegrave, Helen Browning-Smith and John Warburton.
