Southover Grange Gardens were once the private garden of the grange built in 1542 by William Newton and briefly the home of John Evelyn the diarist. The gardens are a little piece of heaven on earth right in the centre of Lewes town, a lovely peaceful thing to do!
For music lovers, it became the host in 2021, 2022 and 2023, for the Lewkulele Picnic, a free open-air event celebrating community and live music here in the heart of Lewes. If you’re involved in a ukulele orchestra or group, and want to join in, then get in touch: it’s never to early to plan for 2024.
